When did you last see cannelloni on a menu? It was one of my favourite dishes when I was growing up then it seemed to vanish into the mists of time so it’s good to see it back at the boys from the Clove Club’s new restaurant Luca.

This lighted wreath which I bought in the sale at @coxandcox has been the best addition to my Christmas decs this year. When it arrived it was HUGE - I’d forgotten to take the measurements - but miraculously fitted perfectly over my bedroom mirror where it sheds a magical light over the room. A very happy - and hopefully relaxing - Christmas to you all with plenty of good books and bottles and all the Christmas films you’ve seen zillions of times before xxIs there anything better than catching up with a friend you’ve known for 30 years and haven’t seen for five and just picking up where you left off? Which of course makes it spendy for a snack but you could pull the same trick with lumpfish roe. The schnitzel would be a bit more of a hassle to make at home but it was very very good. Add a glass (or two) of champagne and the top notch company of @thaneeprince and you have the perfect Christmas lunch. Also an utterly dreamy plate of ricotta and cavolo nero agnolotti with pumpkin and sage butter under a billowy cloud of parmesan. (The pasta is always worth ordering but enough for two if you have other dishes so I’d share.)
