This is possibly the most off-the-wall pairing I encountered on my recent Chilean trip and for that reason the most exciting - both on account of the food and the wine.

In the end I didn’t get to the island of Janitzio, first pic, one of the most sought after destinations for Day of the Dead, because the crowds are just crazy these days but we went to one of the smaller island on Lake Patzcuaro, Yunuen where we saw these fisherman doing a traditional rhythmic dance with outsize fishing nets.
