Wine & Spice pop-up in Bristol and more Honey & Co Wine Club dates

Those of you who enjoyed the recent events I’ve been doing with the lovely people at Honey & Co will be pleased to know we have a new series coming up, starting next month. Billed as Wine Adventures around the Med, we’ll be focusing on three countries and regions and the wines we feel go with their food best.

The first on Sunday March 13th will focus on Morocco and we’ll be looking at wines from Spain, southern France and Morocco itself (yes, there are some!)

The second on Sunday April 3rd will feature Middle Eastern food and wines from Greece, Turkey, the Lebanon and Israel

And the third on Sunday May 8th will explore wines from Sicily and southern Italy with food inspired by the region’s Arab roots

The format will be the same as before - a lavish three course lunch (including vegetarian options) and wine tasting combined with at least 10 different wines to taste though, on request, starting half an hour later at 12.30 for those of you who like a bit more of a lie in!) We wrap up at 4pm. Each event costs £75 or £200 if you book all three sessions at the same time. I’m also collaborating with chef Romy Gill on an event at Hart’s Bakery in Bristol on Thursday March 3rd. She runs a lovely restaurant in Thornbury called Romy’s Kitchen and will be cooking up a slap-up Indian feast to which I’ll be matching six different wines from our good friends at Bibendum (who are also sponsoring the Honey & Co events). Tickets cost £39.99 and can be booked on Billetto.
